6” Rigid Woodworking Ruler with Satin Chrome Finish

To improve the accuracy of their work, every woodworker should have a few precision machinist rulers. Traditionally, woodworkers have used rulers with graduation markings of 4R, with 1/8ths and 1/16ths on one side, and 1/32nds and 1/64ths on the other. However, most woodworkers rarely use the finer 1/32nd and 1/64th markings as they are difficult to read and too precise for most tasks. Therefore, our Benchmark Tools brand rulers include the most commonly used 1/8th and 1/16th graduation marks on both sides.

Our rulers are made from Japanese rust-resistant stainless steel that has been tempered, allowing the ruler to flex if needed and snap back straight. The edges and ends are ground parallel, straight, smooth, and square. Graduations are produced using a photoengraving process, creating consistent and accurate markings with uniform line widths. Once etched, the graduations are black-filled for maximum readability. They are etched, not printed, so they will not wear off with prolonged use. The graduations conform to strict international EEC 1 Accuracy Standards, with markings for quick-reading 1/8ths and 1/16ths on both sides.

Our rulers are finished with a satin chrome finish that minimizes scratches and corrosion, and increases readability by achieving a brighter, non-glare finish that enhances the contrast between the black graduation lines and the surface of the ruler. The specifications are 6” long x 3/4” wide x 0.040” thick, and each rule comes in a vinyl storage pouch. These well-made rules will provide years of reliable service in any shop.
